	NOTICE OF 8% SERVICE TAX ON RENTAL OR LEASING SERVICES

	We wish to inform you that the Malaysian government had announced on 9 June 2025
	that a Service Tax of 8% will be implemented on rental or leasing services.

	The implementation is scheduled to take effect from 1st July 2025. You may refer the
	Service Tax (Amendment) Regulations 2025’ [i.e. Federal Government Gazette P.U. (A)
	172] and Service Tax Policy No.2/2025 enclosed herewith or visit
	https://mysst.customs.gov.my/SSTRegulations and MySST respectively for the details.

	We will keep you updated on any developments accordingly.

	NOTICE OF 6% SERVICE TAX ON LOGISTICS SERVICES

	We wish to inform you that the Malaysia goverment had annouced on 26 February 2024
	that a Service Tax of 6% will be implemented on logistics services. The implementation
	is scheduled to take effect from 1st April 2024.

	ANNOUCEMENT FROM PPC - PORT CIRCULAR NO 3/2023

	Effective from January 1st, 2024, only individuals who have completed the General
	Awareness/Familiarization and Function Specific IMDG Code courses from training
	providers recognized by the Malaysian Marine Department and registered with PPC
	(Penang Port Commission) will be accepted to sign the Container/Vehicle Packing
	Certificate for the purpose of declaring dangerous goods cargo at the Port of Penang.
